The Passau International Centre for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies (PICAIS) invites expressions of interest from excellent international researchers who wish to apply for a Humboldt Research Fellowship at the University of Passau.

• PICAIS provides targeted support to selected applicants in finding a suitable host at the University of Passau and in preparing their application to the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
• Successful applicants will not only become Humboldt Fellows but also members of the international, interdisciplinary, and collaborative research community at PICAIS.
• The call is open to researchers from all disciplines whose projects complement the profile and strategic research priorities of the University of Passau.
• Interested candidates are invited to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) including a summary of the proposed research project and an up-to-date tabular CV.
• Application deadline for the LOI: March 10, 2026
